New Theme!

I just deployed a new theme on the site. It's a blue/black theme, but I have modifications with red, yellow, and green which I may be able to put in place this weekend. I'm also going to look at scrapping Gallery2 for Nuke. I don't know if that will be a quick drop, but I'd like to write my own custom gallery. Basically, I don't need a lot of fluff. I just need a simple gallery to allow users to share their photos/scans/etc with the rest of the community. It's low priority, but I do have some code generated already. I'm also hoping to get more coding done on the price guide and trading modules this weekend.

Slow Development

Development on the site has slowed a bit. I've been busy with work and school. I'm hoping to get pushing to finalize the price guide and press on with the trading room. I have a good test going on the development side with the trading room, I just need the time to finis it up!

Once membership to the site picks up, I think we'll start looking into giveaways. I'll have to look into soliciting some sponsorship for the drawings, but I'd like to see boxes, diecast, t-shirts, caps, etc. as giveaways for our members. Of course, in order to win, you have to be a member. It's just a thought and all depends on how membership on the site goes. Keep a lookout in the future for it.

The price guide is nearing completion on the programming side of the house. Once I get all of the pieces tied together, I'll finish populating all of the sets. The reporting feature is functional, so post any prices for items currently available for reporting. Once I get the price guide fully operational, the next step is development of the My Collections module. This will allow you to create and track your collections, much like what you see on Beckett. The last development project is a storefront for the site. I've got the thoughts in my head, I just need to put them to code and get them loaded. Keep checking back, as the site will continually be updated!
