Each month, we will have donation drives.  Only those who donate a minimum of $10 during the month will be eligible for prizes. I’ll be looking to give away insert cards, boxes of cards, and maybe even a die cast each month. We’ll start at the end of April, as I’ll be moving soon. So, anyone who donates during the month of March and April will be eligible for the drawing. More to come!

The site will be opening up for registration in the very near future. As there is a lot of work yet to be accomplished, this will be an open beta. That means that, at any time, accounts and data could be wiped clean. Of course, I’ll give some advanced notice before that happens. I’m looking to open everything up around the first or second week of March!

One thing I will be working on for the site is image hosting.  Not only will you be able to add images for items in your collections and lists, but you’ll also be able to upload images for sharing elsewhere.  I have recently heard about some issues with PhotoBucket that, quite frankly, are just ridiculous.  Just another good part of the site in the works!

I’ll be looking to add more beta testers to the site soon! I’m hoping to open it up around the end of May to beginning of June. I need to work on getting the rest of the cards loaded through 2009 and then load the die cast. Still a lot of work left to do, but making progress!

A recent eBay auction ended at $171.  Danica ran a great race on Saturday at Daytona, finishing 6th, and is poised to run her first Nationwide race this coming Saturday.  I think it’s only a matter of time until she takes the Sprint Cup world by storm!  This card is definitely set to go up in a hurry!

I was honored to be invited by Google to participate in their Google Affiliate Network, which means bigger affiliate advertisements.  That led me to loading K-Mart and SportsMemorabilia.com advertisements.  I’ve also signed up with another service and now have advertisements running from a number of over companies.  I’m trying to keep advertisements related to cars, racing, and sports.  Some of you might wonder about K-Mart.  I have purchased quite a bit of NASCAR stuff through K-Mart, so I’ll look to save anyone money where I can.  They do have some pretty good deals if you click on the banners.  If you EVER see an add that is questionable, please feel free to let me know!

We’re moving in April and I expect I’ll have more time to develop around May or June. Here are some ideas I’ll start working on (other than what I am currently working on):

• Gallery view for collections
• Fantasy Pick’em
• Auctions
• Storefronts
